Bathroom Tile Renovation in Islington Village
A dated main bathroom stripped to the studs and finished with large-format porcelain floor tile, a full-height shower surround and new drywall and paint.

The work
The brief
The homeowners wanted a brighter, easier-to-clean bathroom without moving the plumbing. The existing tile had loose sections and the drywall behind the tub showed signs of moisture.
The work
- Removed the old tile, tub surround and damaged drywall
- Installed cement board and a waterproofing membrane in the shower area
- Laid 12×24 porcelain floor tile with a centred layout and clean edge transitions
- Tiled the shower surround to the ceiling with a recessed niche
- Repaired ceiling drywall, primed and painted with a bathroom-grade finish
The result
A bright, low-maintenance bathroom finished in eleven working days, with the family able to use a second washroom throughout.
